Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
working on next-generation sequencing (NGS) based projects as assigned by the research team
run NGS bench processing of samples; human and pathogen for DNA and RNA anlaysis
maintaining NGS laboratory equipment
assist in sequence data handling, compilation & analysis
assist in preparing reports, manuscripts, projects & abstracts for publication/presentation as
assist in grant preparation
assist in preparation of CME, symposia, workshops and conferences
any other duty or responsibility assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:
You should have:
Masters in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Genetics or equivalent qualification in a related area 2-3 years of related work experience
Laboratory bench experience of 3 or more years in handling nucleic acid based testing and preferably DNA sequencing.
ability to do literature search for project, to perform data analysis and to write
good observational and interviewing skills
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work independently.
